1. One book that changed your life
I can't really think of one. I've read a lot of books, and I can't think of one book that's caused any kind of a eureka moment for me.

2. One book you have read more than once
Just one? But there are so many. I keep going back to reread books and find things I've missed. I seem to keep going back to the works of Terry Pratchett, mostly Good Omens, and Mercedes Lackey's Elemental Masters series.

3. One book you would want on a desert island
Seriously, one book wouldn't be enough for me on a desert island. It would have to be an author I would liked, instead of one I loved.

4. One book that made you laugh
Gil's All Fright Diner by A. Lee Martinez. This book is hysterical, and I couldn't put it down.

5. One book that made you cry
The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis.

6. One book you wish had been written
I wish Mercedes Lackey hadn't been forced to stop writing her Diana Tregard books.

7. One book you wish had never had been written
I tend to forget the really bad ones. Maybe Beloved.

8. One book you are currently reading
I just finished reading Revenge of the Wrought-Iron Flamingos by Donna Andrews, and am probably going to start on The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff.

9. One book you have been meaning to read
The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli.

10. Now tag 5 people
Um. The five people who want to?

She got a whole lot of death threats, and felt she had to stop writing them.

For two reasons that I can see...
1) Her protagonist is a witch, and in the 70's in Oklahoma that was apparently not a Good Thing.
2) Several people decided that, due to similarities between the author and the character, that Mercedes Lackey was a Guardian (like her character) and she should use her magic powers to make their lives better.
She can tell her own story better than I can.

Yeah. And I thought my version of reality was warped.

It's really sad how these people obsess about things. I mean, it's just a book. Geeze.

(albeit an awesome book).
